High-quality instructional materials (HQIM) help students to meet their highest potential and learn how to collaborate, investigate, and solve complex problems. As more districts shift to HQIM, teachers need access to effective professional development that best prepares them to successfully teach and implement this adaptive new curriculum.
Centering Professional Learning on HQIM helps school and district leaders create a professional learning plan that focuses on high-quality instructional materials with a goal of improving teaching and learning practices in their schools. In this engaging hands-on training, participant groups of up to 30 school and district leaders will:
- Learn how to upgrade school and district professional learning practices to reflect and sustain HQIM.
- Draft a Professional Learning Plan for the 24-25 school year that supports teachers in learning, practicing, and implementing the new instructional materials.
- Receive a copy of The Leadership Academy’s Curriculum-Based Professional Learning Guidebook, which provides leaders with a roadmap for improving school-based professional learning practices and serves as a key resource in the learning.
Centering Professional Learning on HQIM can be delivered in your district in person over a 2-day period, or be delivered virtually in 12 hours. Customized hybrid plans for delivery are also available.
