Leadership coaches make us better versions of ourselves. They provide perspective, help us see aspects of ourselves we might not be aware of or want to see, and motivate and support us to do our work more effectively. A strong coach can help develop outstanding leaders who are more likely to achieve their objectives.
Developing Leadership Coaching Skills introduces participants to The Leadership Academy’s unique facilitative coaching model, an approach that helps leaders engage in critical and targeted reflection of their leadership practice as a catalyst for behavioral shifts and personal growth. Through group discussions, role plays, and skill-building, participants will learn to coach with this transformational model focused on clear leadership competencies, flexibility, and trust.
Participants in Developing Leadership Coaching Skills will:
- Build fundamental coaching skills (listening, questioning, feedback) to support shifts in mindset and behavior.
- Explore experiences and implications of identity in leadership and coaching.
- Unpack the meaning of culturally responsive leadership practice, including how it looks and what it entails.
- Create the conditions for coaching moving forward.
Developing Leadership Coaching Skills is ideal for groups of up to 30 coaches/leaders who coach as part of their primary duties.
